From Bhutan to the Bellinger

Nima and Tempa, our mates from Bhutan,
We welcome you both as part of our clan.
Our meeting was brief, but we had much fun,
And wish you happy every rising sun.

When we think of you, we'll see lots of rice,
Two smiling faces and plenty of spice;
Chillies essential, occasional beer,
You had no worries fitting in 'round here.

You were bored at the pub, loved the river -
Bad for the eel, but good for your liver.
You met a kookaburra, saw no snake,
We sent them away and just for your sake.

You are gentle, kind, considerate, too,
And seem to enjoy whatever you do.
You are welcome guests, when you come this way,
And bring your families any old day.

We know Bhutan is a long way away,
And we both hope to make it there some day.
If we do, tell all your mates to look out,
We'll beat them at cards and it is your shout.

A long life and lucky, we wish for you,
And trust you enjoy whatever you do.
Whoever it is to first to see the moon,
Will think of each other and hope to meet soon.
